Description

Ring Main Units (RMU) are medium-voltage switchgear, factory-assembled, metal-enclosed switchgear used at load connection points in ring-type distribution networks within electrical power distribution systems. The RMU features a completely sealed system with a stainless steel tank containing all live parts and switching functions. The sealed steel tank, with constant atmospheric conditions, ensures a high level of reliability, personnel safety, and a virtually maintenance-free system.
The RMU offers a choice of either a switch-fuse combination or a circuit breaker with a relay for transformer protection. It can also be equipped with a remote control and monitoring unit, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
